In recent discussions over Reddit, it is found that the February Update has broken Bedtime Mode for Pixel users. The issue seems persistent on almost every Pixel model as multiple replies are present on different threads from users using Pixel phones. It is quite helpful for the users, as it controls the notification sound, display brightness, night l light, and much more.

Google Pixel Bedtime Mode not Working Issue

Precisely, the Betime routine works fine if scheduled, but not if put on charging aka. “run on while charging”. But, some users report, it is not turning on even if scheduled. So, there seems to be some issue that is resulting in incorrect behavior of the whole app.

Bedtime routine – “turn on while charging” is broken.
Anyone else with that issue on a 7 pro after the Feb. update? If I switch to “schedule” it works. Phone is plugged in and charging.

However, some tried to quickly patch the issue by deleting the cache, but, all went in vain. We expect Google to release a fix for the issue as it is impacting the daily life of the users. Some users have already opened the issue on Android Public Tracker, and we hope for a fix from Google in the upcoming update.

Bedtime mode is a useful utility that allows refraining from unwanted Notifications in the Night-Time, controls the brightness, and offers the ability to run a Google Assistant Routine at the desired time.
