It’s been just a few months since the launch of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, and the rumours about its successor have started arriving. In a maiden leak, it appears that Google Pixel 8 will come with a major camera upgrade in comparison with its predecessor counterparts. As per Kuba Wojciechowski, the Google Camera Go app spilt some beans about the presence of staggered HDR on next year’s Pixel flagships.

The staggered HDR technique allows the sensor to capture varying exposures with the same pixels. The new smartphones with codenames – Husky and Shiba appeared in Google Camera Go App. Such a feature will instantly improve the picture quality during both the say and especially, in the night time.

The present sensors from Samsung don’t offer staggered HDR support. But, things are expected to change with the Pixel 8 which might come with the ISOCELL GN2 sensor.

Another Pixel device – called Pixel Tangor Pro is also revealed with the Go app. It appears to be the device in the Pixel Tablet series. However, we expect the Pixel Tablet to launch in the near coming future.
